For researchers

The Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS is an accredited public archive that manages and, within the framework of legal regulations, makes accessible the extensive archival fonds of non-university scientific institutions, associations and societies, including the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences and the Czech Academy of Sciences, the personal fonds (written estates) of scientists and the fonds of the T. G. Masaryk Institute. The research public can also use the rich library holdings.

The study of archive files and library collections is possible in the reading room in the building of the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS. Orders for archival materials are handled by the reading room staff electronically via order forms or in person, and orders for books for study are handled by the library via special forms.
