Records Management
According to the Founding Charter of the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS (in the version effective from 15 March 2011), the activities of the Institute in the field of records management are defined as follows:
“The main activity of the MIA CAS is the supervision of the records management within the Czech Academy of Sciences, the receipt and processing of archival materials from the departments of the Czech Academy of Sciences (institutional funds) and archival materials arising from the activities of individual scientists (personal funds), the provision of scientific and information services and scientific research in the fields of archival theory, auxiliary historical sciences, especially codicology, the history of scientific institutions and personalities and the history of science and education in general.”
