The Director of the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Czech Academy of Sciences, announces a vacancy on the position of:
Researcher
in the Department of Modern Political and Intellectual History
Research focus:
Intellectual and/or political history of East-Central Europe 1848–1948
Job description:
Original research in the given field and publication of its results in the Czech Republic and abroad,
designing and implementing grant projects,
organization of scholarly meetings,
participation in infrastructure projects in the field of digital humanities.
Qualification requirements:
University education in history or related disciplines at the doctoral level (Ph.D. or recognized equivalent), or doctoral studies in their final phase,
significant international experience,
international scholarly and publishing profile with a focus on East-Central European history between 1848 and 1948,
active knowledge of English, passive knowledge of at least one other world language,
knowledge of other East-Central European languages is an advantage,
ability to work independently and as part of a team.
We offer:
full-time employment (or reduced hours in the case of caring for a dependent),
a 3-year employment contract with the possibility of extension,
a position in a stable research institution with adequate remuneration,
performance-based bonuses,
