Research into the life, many-sided activities and legacy of T. G. Masaryk represents a significant part of the activities of the Masaryk Institute and the Archives of the CAS. This includes both the care of extensive archival and library holdings and the editorial preparation of Masaryk's texts (Writings of T. G. Masaryk, Correspondence of TGM, etc.), linked to research into various political, intellectual and cultural historical topics in a broader context. Database and digital processing of texts and documents is also important, as is popularisation aimed at the general public, including secondary and university students.
