The social and economic history of the 19th and 20th centuries is a traditional theme of Czech historiography. Attention is paid to the history of business and entrepreneurs, the history of production, economic theories, corporate social policy, and the social history of the working classes in the broadest sense, including their material culture as exemplified by housing.
